A single-family house on Grange Road in Highgate, London, designed to passive house standards. The design takes the local climate and solar orientation as its starting data: passive solar gain, and daylight that changes in every room across the seasons and the hours of the day.

Pure rectilinear frames in white render hold the balconies and align with the front and rear building lines of the street. Every principal room opens to the garden and the existing greenery. The structure is a cross laminated timber frame.
